Recent Engagements

  • For a $5 billion+ family, we assisted a founder through the hiring of their first personal employee and beyond. We oversaw the hiring of accounting and tax, legal, and investment teams to support the Principal’s efforts. In addition, we managed hiring a PEO for the family to employ staff and provide best-in-class benefits.

  • For a $75 billion+ family office, we developed a playbook to manage an emergency or end-of-life event. Designed for the principal’s spouse, trustees and senior staff, roles and responsibilities through an event have been assigned, removing ambiguity through a major life change. In this process, we partnered with the family’s team, investment partners, custody bank, attorneys, and other providers to ensure all entities are aligned with the trust and estate plan.

  • Served as owner’s representative on major real estate purchases, allowing family office staff to focus on other pressing issues while guarding the family’s privacy.

  • For the next-generation family member of a $1 billion family office, we built an entire support system around the family member in a new city. Hired business manager to plug into family office accounting staff, acquired new main residence for the family member, hired and oversaw major contracting firm to handle renovations, hired household staff (personal assistant, nannies, housekeeping), and ensured correct insurance coverages. Worked with immigration attorneys to ensure visa compliance. Continue to serve as a sounding board for family member.

  • Post-recent-liquidity event, conceptualized the structure of a new family entity that will support the principal’s investment, philanthropic, and lifestyle pursuits from a management and staffing perspective.

  • Talent and organizational design work to help manage a family office’s portfolio company through COVID-19.

  • For another next-generation family member, we have stepped in as an advisor and coach to assist with the day-to-day management of their affairs, liaising with the family office, advising the family member on best practices around household management (as it relates to staff), helping with budgeting in order to build and manage their own investment portfolio.
